Forgejo & Codeberg for Jira

·178 words·1 min

Jira Cloud lists commits, branches and pull requests in an issue’s development panel, but only from GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket. There’s now a Forge app that does the same for Forgejo and Codeberg: Forgejo & Codeberg for Jira, available on the Atlassian Marketplace .

Items are matched by their Jira key, such as PROJ-123 in a commit message, branch name or pull request. Forgejo sends the events through a webhook configured in each repository. Loading existing history into the panel also requires a read:repository token. Codeberg works without further setup; a self-hosted Forgejo instance needs a one-time approval from a Jira admin.

No backend is required, since the app runs on Atlassian Forge. It needs a Software space in Jira Cloud, as that’s the only place the development panel exists. The step-by-step setup is in the README .

The code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later and hosted on Codeberg . Bug reports and patches are welcome there.
